DLive's biggest fans were all Steemians. By powering down, and also attacking Steemians directly, Kent really turn against his loyal users and did them dirty. He utilized a 2 million SP delegation by Ned to only power it down and then dump on the entire community after "testing" and "developing" for his own blockchain. This hurts many of us who helped Kent by promoting Dlive to Steemians.
It gets worse, they knew they were going to do this in March. Just none of us were smart enough to link Lino and DLive together. It's quite obvious Kent has the majority stake in the Lino blockchain. This is his reason for him attacking the Steem blockchain with a FUD post and even using the bidbots on it as a point to why "Steem is a circlejerk". Yes, bidbots are a problem. But it's not a big of a problem as people think. Bidbot owners are similar to casino owners in the fiat world, and the users similar to gamblers simply addicted to feeling "profit inside the game".
When I asked the Dlive community discord moderation why this was done, They banned me immediately and didn't even defend that this isn't true. So we can be fairly certain, the entire time they were on Steem, Dlive had a master plan to leech from the community. They attempted to suck the life out Steemians, including myself. This is extremely harmful , as from the actions of one bad apple, could stop providing delegations to projects in the future. While I see a lot of good being done over at
. PRC has noted he wants to move on to EOS, making DSOUND primed to be the next "Dapp" (it's not even decentralized like DTube is trying to be) to leave the chain.
Many people I've spoken with think that should consider these statements made by the DAPP owners and remove their delegations unless a new written contract is signed by each DAPP with delegation, with the interests of Steem users and our ecosystem here. Crypto Currency is quite new, maybe they could even put the contract in the blockchain with a Custom JSON so it's there for all to see , for all time. Yes, it is a tricky situation inside our decentralized network, involving business and companies that could have potential billions in market capitalization. By handling this extremely complex issue correctly, it will only make our ecosystem much stronger.
