Once we were really powerful and then something happened which completely changed everything. I'm going to guess that was the 1492 Plus wave of disease that travel like wildfire all the way across the American continents. Spanish explorers searching for gold raped pillaged-pluttered and murdered their way across the America's and leaving in its wake was all of the diseases from Europe Asia and Africa.
At which point you're watching a complete and total collapse of all native American cultural and societal populations. No one was spared as 90 to 99% of the entire native American population was wiped out by diseases.
In fact actually if we would be serious and look at this entire problem from another perspective that would mean that if the tables had been turned there would be such population in the American West as to be able to prevent and crush European American western expansion. However the population just couldn't catch back up. The wars and all of the bloodshed continued making the conquest of America one of the most horrific violations of human rights.
However we still remain and I think I'm going to do more to help murder missing endangered Murdered Missing Endangered Indigenous movement.
