Important information regarding payments
As you may know, we had always planned to have payments ready by the end of 2017. Now that it's 2018 and payments aren't ready, there are a lot of you that are annoyed that the payment function still isn't working. This email will explain what is happening regarding the payment system.
We always planned to have payments ready by the end of 2017, however there was an unknown hold-up on the Google Play store where our app was not publishing. This put a lot of stress on the team as we had to fix the balance function and get this update out as soon as possible, and we were unable to get the update out for longer than a week.
We lost a lot of development time and resources trying to push an update out, and unfortunately that means we were unable to work on the payment system for a week. This put a huge delay on development of the app.
It is important to finish the system, and we're working as hard as possible. While other companies would be taking a New Year's break we're still working extra hours to get this done. If we rush the payment system we risk doing a lousy job, leaving exploits and payment service credentials in the app.
If we get hacked and have our funds stolen, payments won't be ready for years. So please, just wait a few more weeks so we can perfect it. Payments will be ready as soon as possible.
