I just saw that I forgot to write about another task I finished last weekend - the electricity for the lights. For that I have bought a Steger 3 V transformer that was originally intended to be used for doll houses.
Then I bought a Piko switches(the one in the back) to switch the lights on and off. I divided the base plate in to four quarters. For every quarter I installed one separate circuit and placed a distributor connector on the backside of the base plate (see first photo).
Finally I mounted one light in every quarter to check if the circuits and switches are working. And yessss - they do!
