In this article I would like to share three pieces of my favorite arcitecture style - Modern (Art Nouveau)
Elisseeff Emporium in St. Petersburg is a large retail and entertainment complex, constructed in 1902–1903 for the Elisseeff Brothers. Designed by architect Gabriel Baranovskii, it is one of the most striking examples of St. Petersburg Art Nouveau architecture.
Casa Batlló is a building in the center of Barcelona, designed by Antoni Gaudí. The local name for the building is Casa dels ossos (House of Bones), as it has a visceral, skeletal organic quality.
Like everything Gaudí designed, it is only identifiable as Modernisme or Art Nouveau in the broadest sense. The ground floor, in particular, has unusual tracery, irregular oval windows and flowing sculpted stone work.
The entrance porch of the metro station Porte Dauphine in Paris, created by Hector Guimard.
My point is to keep it simple, so more people can be introduced to Modern.
Thank You for Your time, and keep exploring!
