Monero is the most profitable Altcoin to mine right now but when will the ASIC threat return?
No-time soon. A month after the CryptoNight V7 hard fork, we now have the lowest Monero mining difficulty since December 15th, 2017!
The reward per block is down due to the price falling since our last Monero XMR Difficulty Watch post 7 days ago, but that shouldn't deter anyone from mining Monero.
The Monero V XMV hard fork snapshot was taken, hopefully you stacked XMR before block 1564965. There's a lot of FUD going around about XMV as no-one knows for sure when (or if) the airdrop will actually happen. I'm not worried, the airdropped coins will just go towards another Monero XMR cloud mining contract on Minergate, but If you have any updates please comment below.
A Focus on the Good News
With all the well-known forks behind us and less miners stacking for the airdrops; the difficulty continues to fall. If we fork away ASICs and botnets every 6mos, Monero will be the most decentralized altcoin and we can...
Enjoy low Monero difficulty and profitable low-end GPU mining while it lasts!
