What I don't understand is how we all can't realize that we need to move to a decentralized global currency?!?
From my conclusion of the video, Oil is the worst investment possible. As the auto industry is failing worldwide, sustainability needs to become a focus of this world as we have delayed renewables long enough. Gold could flash crash to 1,000 in the short term making miners shut down quickly, but in reality, gold is the only thing with historical value. So I do understand what Peter has to say, but we are definitely not about to start transacting with gold coins again...
The dollar has to be the worst investment and basically, all of the panelists agreed on that for the long term. Brent Johnson admitted this himself when he says "The dollar is an absolute horrible currency, its flaws are innumerable. But it is better than any other fiat (currency) that is out there." (2:00)
So my question is, why have we not moved toward this new age of global monetary policy with the blockchain technology? The innovating industry that is already developed with a proven concept and utility. The fear of adoption comes from a lack of financial education provided through our society, starting with early childhood education or the system in general.
This needs to be changed and education needs to be distributed to all, stay on the #lookout!
