Germany has printed a series of bills of 0 (zero) Euros according to the "Neue osnabrücker zeitung".
As it states, its approved by the European Central Bank, and the bills will be sold as a souvenir.
The fact that the bill is wort 0 Euros, makes this bill worthless in commerce, and has nothing more than a plain symbolic value.
The bill is printed on the same paper as all the standard bills with the same anti counterfeiting techniques like a hologram and a watermark.
There are 5000 bills printed so far, and on them is a picture of a tall ship named "Gorch Fock" of the German Navy from 1958.
It will cost 2,5 Euros and will be sold as souvenir.
This is great, eyeopening example of how fiat currency actually work - money is not worth real value since its not backed by gold, but the central banks are the ones that control the value, and our agreement with what they say.
