Maybe not such an interesting opportunity after all...
In my latest episode 7 of SIO, I reviewed the upcoming Mainstreet ITO (Initial Token Offering) from . I apologize, as it appears that this will not be offered to US or EU customers. You can see the following statements from
's twitter here:
I went back and read more about the token in 's original post:
The ITO will extend for 60 days. Eligibility to invest in the Fund and acquire MIT is open globally; however, no residents of the United States or European Union may participate.
I tweeted Charlie asking for clarification:
I have not received a response as of yet. I am really curious how they expect the crowdsale to be successfull without US & EU investors. I suppose China could make one hell of an investment like they did in the Ethereum First Blood sale that China basically bought out almost the full $5 Million.... but $25 Million?! It's possible. But I don't see the logic behind it. I'm sure this is the result of regulatory pressure. Maybe will clarify this on Steemit.
Also, another tweeter brought up good points, you can't posses and trade the token for the value of the token because exchanges won't let you? You definitely cannot do dividends. Yet it's the setup that will prevent this, per Charlie's tweet, not IP blocking, VPN, etc.
This is very interesting. I hope we get some clarification. For now, I guess this one is off my investment radar.

P.S. This is no way a shot at or Mainstreet. I hope they have a successful crowdsale and do great business. This one looks exciting. I just hope there is clarification because I am not quite sure how it will do well with such limitations!
