But we have another modern one, and it's hilarious (perhaps not so much to the one's suffering from it).
As various addictions have been known to us through ages, the most modern of them is Bitcoin addiction. That's right, some people get so obsessed with trading bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, they need medical help to get off their drug of choice.
As trading can lead to high profits, it can also lead to your downfall and bankrupcy, if not observed by yourself objectively. It can be compared and likened to any other online gambling activity. Lose a bunch? No problem, the market is open, lets make it back!

According to the info on the hospital's website, 70 of every 1000 people are at risk of developing addictive trading behaviour. Financial problems, gambling mentality (get-rich-quick), all contribute to the factors. The biggest risk group is young men, who also make up the majority of online traders (duh!).
