While we're all cool and growing on Steemit (i'm a Steem patriot), the world keeps spinning and new things are turning up all the time. There it is - Trendit.
Apparently Trendit is a platform that rewards content, that goes viral. It is based on the Ethereum network and it has it's own token - the Trend token. All you have to do is create popular content, that users will pledge their tokens to, and you're all set. Did you create that hilarious meme you cannot look without a good giggle? Hit the meme section. You have want to start a new challenge? Alright, let's start one - how about the boiling water bucket challenge? There could be sections where you submit your once-in-a-lifetime photos, delicious recipes, best dates or whatever.
Currently the project is in whitepaper and ICO phase. Register on their homepage to be one of the early users on the platform. https://trenditstudios.com/.
Beware though, this platform might have some similarities to Steemit, but under the hood they're different. They have clearly stated some of their revenue streams - analytics from your data will be sold to corporations and there will be ads. Khm, khm.
Also 50% of platform profits will be distributed to TrenditStudios to support further development.
I have no affiliation with them, but i find the project interesting and something, that could move all these memes off Steem ;) Note, i also have no problems with memes.

Boozecoin are a Bitshares token, assigned by Bryce Distillery. And what more? They have zero value! Well, at least they were initially issue with 0 value, but there is already some movement on the Bitshares exchange and some buy orders have been popping up as well.
Who knows, with a name as cool as this coin, these might be worth a fortune one day. So get your's before the time's up!

Interested in more weird coins? Look up TheresaMayCoin. Sadly, this one isn't free. It was issued in 2017 an has literally grown 700% in it's seven months of existence. Currently it's priced around $0.014 on exchanges. Alas, the coin itself looks to be a direct clone of Trumpcoin and has no significant advantages over it's rivals. I am not big fan of every random altcoin, but some of you might want to grab the weirder ones, just to get all those politician coins in your collection.
