Yep, a new game has pushed CryptoKitties aside and we now buy nothing less than contracts for celebrities. CryptoCelebrities is a game, where you can buy a contract for your favorite celeb. Enrique Iglesias, Jennifer Lawrence, Charlize Theron are a few that caught my eye on a glimpse. Eminem, you say? Yep, you can snag up the contract for Eminem for a cool 11 ETH, but if you don't rock that much ETH, Eminem's mentor Dr.Dre is up for grabs just for a tiny 5 ETH, which makes him as cool and appealing as any of these other guys.
And the pricing mechanism of the game means that the value of the contracts will always keep going up. Up to 0.05 ETH, a contract of a celeb can be purchased, if another buyer spends double the amount of ETH on the contract. As the price of the contract rises, you will have to spend less to grab them juicy contracts - from 0.05 -0.5 ETH, all you have to spend, is 1.2 times the current contrat value. Above that, it even gets cheaper.
And there is massive amount of celebrity fans out there. And if other people see the mooning potential of contract prices like me, there's bound to be quite a bunch of speculators buying up contracts already too.
Are you into politics? Good, grab a contract for Donald Trump. Into cryptos? Got you covered, look for Satoshi Nakamoto.
Who's the most expensive person in the game? At the time of the writing of this post, it was Vitalik Buterin - you can rock his contract for a hefty 67 ETH. When i found out about this game a few days ago, he cost a mere 20 ETH. Well, speculators might run out of ETH soon, but who knows - this might be your chance.
Apparently celebrities can cash in on their contracts by verifying their identity and earn 3% of every sale made.
I'd be interested in snagging up Rita Ora from the marketplace, if the price doesnt run away from me first ;)
