I told a lot of folks about my expectations for the market and it felt too gloomish, well TADAAAAAA!! BTC is currently at 68k. While it's not all gloomish at the moment,the downtrend is really noticeable, and today we might see a dump into the 67k range and then a slow decline afterwards in the coming months.
You must've already noticed the sharp effects on alts. It's the classic thing: dump with BTC but never ever pump with it. For me, I think the -50% dump on alts is incoming. No way we'd finish this current year without that dump.
If we're lucky enough we get just this, if we're not lucky enough we see a further -70%, and I mean from this current prices for alts. For BTC this would be a dump into the 35k range and a mini capitulation for alts. This is why BTC is not buyable at this moment. Why?
You'll lose money because that dump is incoming. For alts like ETH BNB, HYPE, SUI XRP or out over own HIVE, the best time would be to wait till October/November when the bleed is almost done and the only way would be up.
I mentioned these alts because they've confidently performed predictably, especially the first three. I'm not saying there are no coins that would run and make you rich. There were many project coins in 2025 that did x500 to x1000 and they weren't even memes.
I witness a few, and if I knew about them and only aped in $200, I'd have walked away with over $20k. A peep Dex called ASTER pumped to 2$ I think from 0.2$. There was another perp DEX coin that pumped hard and some guy I know on twitter saw their money pump to $700k.
So perp DEX coins plus a pre or bull market year is almost guaranteed life-changing money. This is why I think 80% of the life-changing crypto opportunities will happen in 2028/2029, and you'll do well to start putting in the work. AI coins too, but this is very much vague at the moment and requires a lot of research.
Polymarket is also printing millionaires in dollars every 6 months, but you'll need to be a very good Dev and have a very good knowledge of how to code a crypto bot plus, some 500 to 1000$ initial and disposable capital, some good gadgets and time.
Or you can put in research and learn copy trading and then you'll not have to wait for 2028.
However this is the market and you cannot copy trade other people if you're not comfortable with losing money. I actually successfully copy trade someone recently by tracking their wallet manually, but all that profit including my hard earned money was stolen by a hacker, (I mentioned this earlier).
I'll continue to open my eyes to other opportunities and keep looking at the market, but all I'll like to say is for everyone to brace themselves, expect the worse, but something even worst might happen, there's probably nothing like "best" in 2026. In worst case scenario that bleed continues into late 2027, but a perfect DCA would help you eventually make some money in 2028 if you do it properly.

When the perfect time comes to buy alts, pray you have some money, but the time is definitely not now. Except you're comfortable with forgetting it till 2028. Wait, study the market trend, check sentiments from Twitter. At the end of the day. If you can't put in the work, then nothing will change on your end.
