Your never gonna believe this crap!!! The bank wouldn't accept my FIAT currency today!! True story. And no, it wasn't counterfeit.
I am sure many of you I have had problems in the past taking money out from the bank, but NEVER have I heard of or personally had a problem putting money into the bank! This is so ridiculous. Let me explain.
I live about 45 mins away from my bank and didn't want to run into town today so I gave my parents a few grand to drop into my bank account so I could pick up some more cryptos on this awesome dip. They were running into town anyhow and offered to drop the money at the bank for me so I obviously took them up on their offer, not thinking dropping cash into a bank account would be a problem. Boy was I wrong!
The bankers told my parents they couldn't deposit more than $500 into my account without a holding period (until monday cuz its friday) because the bank is fighting money laundering!?! REALLY? Isn't that the stupidest thing you have ever heard? My mom even pulled out her ID and was telling them that I was her son (same last name) and that they could take a note of that. Well that didn't matter to the bankers, they said if I wanted all the cash available in the account I was gonna have to drive down there and deposit it myself. So I got my in my truck and started the hour and a half round trip to get the rest of MY FIAT CURRENCY into MY bank account. How stupid!
Lets be honest, the people who are actually doing the money laundering aren't doing it with a few thousand dollars in a family members account! No, it is the banks that are doing the money laundering, it's the casino's and big businesses, it's not my 60 year old retired parents who are willing to show their IDs! This world just boggles my mind.
I was obviously upset by this all and couldn't help to think how stupid our banking system truly is! I am constantly having issues with getting my money from banks. I either have to pay an ATM charge to get at my money (and I can barely take more than $200 out without even more fees) or I have to go to their building on their hours which are extremely inconvenient if you work a 9-5 like many people do. They are now also charging you fees if you don't keep a certain amount of your money in their bank? They make you wait days on any check that you deposit, even if you have been working for the same employer for years upon years and never had a bounced check? How come Walmart can cash it immediately but not a bank?
Oh, I almost forgot to mention I also recently had my identity stolen because of terrible policies by banks and lending companies, I'm sure you have heard of the equifax hack, well I got my credit stolen in that and it took me months to clean it up and the whole time I felt like they were blaming me even though it was completely their fault! Infact, I've waited nearly 3 months and they still haven't returned the funds that were stolen out of my account!! Every time I call they say there is an ongoing investigation, which apparently means I'm on the hook for their dumb mistake of keeping all of our information together in one centralized location.
So I get to the bank, fill out my bank slip and bring it to the front cashier and get this, they accepted it without looking at my ID! Great security in stopping all those money launderers!?!?! I had to tell them how stupid their policy was, ofcourse, but no one cared.
Truth is that the banking system is garbage and I personally can't wait till it fails! They have been robbing the people blind for so long (with fractional reserve banking policies) and nobody could do anything about it! Well not anymore, now we have a way around their dumb system whether they like it or not. Cryptos will completely change all of that, and I personally think it can't happen soon enough.
So from here on out, I am going to do my best to not use banks anymore. Unfortunately I can't always get around it, but hopefully sooner rather than later that will all change and the whole world will be running on cryptos!!
