There are plenty of entrepreneurial spirits here on steemit. All sorts of business ideas have popped up in the one year I have been here.
I discussed this topic last year and want to put it out there for people again....
How can you see if a business idea is any good?
First - Test The Idea
The bottom line is you want to try and produce something that fills a need. Find something you are passionate about, but ensure that passion translates into interest from others if you plan to make it a business venture.
How do we test a idea?
In today's tech world we are spoiled with ways to do this. You can throw ideas out there for no or low cost and see what sticks. This can be used to test brand names, products or services.
Let's use an example
Say you want to start a business selling widgets and there are three different types of widgets you can sell.
However, you are not sure which widget has real demand and you are not sure what to call your business.
Well, this is where places like steemit and dare I even say facebook come in handy.
A good next step is to pick a couple business names, a widget to go with them and put them out there.
For instance:
• WidgetWorld. com where you sell Widget A
• FindYourWidget. com where you also sell Widget A
You can then promote these many places like:
• Putting them on PeerHub.com
• Doing small Facebook marketing campaigns to
• Even emailing a list of leads
• And of course posting about it on Steemit can't hurt either!
Feedback
We get inexpensive feedback from doing these things. If people like, comment, buy, upvote, etc. enough than you know there is some real interest and can move forward.
Conclusion
Obviously this is not an end all solution, but a quick way to gauge interest in a business idea before diving in head first.
Best Regards,
