The Italian bank Unicredit has been subjected to a hacker attack where 400,000 customers in Italy have been injured.
The bank states that the security breach, which occurred in Italy, derives from unauthorized access through a third party provider.
The data breach has occurred on a number of occasions in two rounds. The first took place in September and October last year, while the other was due in June, July this year.
Unicredit has taken action to stop the infringement. The bank has also initiated a review of the data breach and intends to file the matter with the prosecutor's office in Milan. Exactly how customers have suffered is not apparent from reporting.
