In the prestigious BMJ magazine, the results of a scientific study have been published, which proved that doctors and pharmacists for decades, practically from the mass use of antibiotics, wrongly command that the entire amount of prescribed antibiotics should be consumed. It turned out that it is not true that antibiotics work the same way, even if we stop using them sooner when we feel better, and that a smaller amount of antibiotics consumed does not cause bacterial resistance
But the main hero of the story of the consumption of antibiotics is not antibiotics, but pharmaceutical evidence or ....truth.
It turned out that there was no solid evidence that the best antibiotics were to be used up to the end. It's probably made up by pharmaceutical marketers, and doctors know what pharmacists tell them. Doctors in clinics did not know, they believed pharmacists. There is nothing wrong with this, otherwise it probably can not be, but we need to know, based on what and what information doctors prescribed by us antibiotics: they believed their manufacturers.
They also believe that other medicines are proven to be effective and safe, that the dosages prescribed by manufacturers are to be taken, that vaccines create immunity and collective protection and do not cause serious illnesses ... The research is evidence that medical truths have a very short period of use and only lasts until the product's profitability or recent research. The doctors always accept new truths as if they were eternal, and they advocate with the same enthusiasm as those of the previous one.
The pharmaceutical industry argues that pharmaceutical medicine is based on material evidence (which is why it is supposed to be all other charlatanism), and with this argument it created a monopoly over health money, a professional and general school system, state authorities that should take care of the health of citizens , the way of treatment, our health and the health of future generations, over conceiving, abortion, birth, dying ... But every once in a while it turns out that they have not had and do not have good evidence for their activities.
Doctors demand that we trust them because they have good evidence, but it turns out that there is no such evidence and that modern medicine is based not on evidence, but on the faith in the pharmaceutical industry. The problem is that people are not told that these are the current truths of those who have power, but it acts as if they are natural laws, for something beyond doubt, ultimate, absolutely real. It creates the illusion of all-powerful medicine that works miracles. On the illusion of effective evidence-based medicine, laws on compulsory vaccination, on the use of cannabis, on the alternative, on our health are adopted.
It seems that there is no medicine based on solid evidence. It does not exist. Where there is no evidence, it is the area of faith and hope. Medicine is a new religion, a faith in medical-pharmacy priests who have the only god - a profit. I admire and respect the doctors who are dedicated to the patient who is honest and honest with him, who freely search for him and with him the best solutions whose strength and reputation comes from their actions and do not set their reputation for the particular pharmaceutical truths. Such doctors find it difficult to work in the current healthcare system. That's why they deserve public support. They need it. And we need them.
This study is another proof that uncritical confidence in doctors who uncritically trust pharmacy can be harmful to health.
