Oh, to wear the monochrome on the beach, do you think it takes away from the beauty of the vision? The colors as they roll in, off the distant horizon?
The emotional association of coloring ones worlds perchance? In so many ways, it adds to the peace of the moment, don't you think? I breathe. Then breathe again. Oh, yes. I can feel its calm.
My favorite tree. I know I take you by here almost every day when I am walking
My fascination with flowers is probably the worst kept secret. Well, of course, after my favorite tree. Being the first, mayhap. There is just something about them, their voices heard, like a soft whisper in my head. Oh, my lovely blooms, how do I love thee? Am I really able to count the ways?
Will you be mine?
Will you be mine?
Who could deny that fate brought you together 'til the end of time? Your beauty displayed as you unfurl your bud, for all to see, for all to admire. As it should be. Always and forever.
There can be no such thing as redundancy when speaking about beauty. How can there ever be too much? Let's make this picture all about #MondayRed #ColorChallenge by @Kalemandra. Because for all practical purposes, she colors my world. Every. Single. Day.
The softest of whispers. The gentle rain. The sudden stillness of my heart. The sweetest dreams come from days like this, as I am tenderly caressed by life.
Just like that, these words are done. Happy #MonochromeMonday to all as we start into another beautiful week! Keep on Steemin!

I always post this poem down at the bottom of my posts. It is one that has become so near and dear to my heart. I only post the most famous part of it, but, wanted to post it in its entirety today.
they set my aunts house on fire
i cried the way women on tv do
folding at the middle
like a five pound note.
i called the boy who use to love me
tried to ‘okay’ my voice
i said hello
he said warsan, what’s wrong, what’s happened?
i’ve been praying,
and these are what my prayers look like;
dear god
i come from two countries
one is thirsty
the other is on fire
both need water.
later that night
i held an atlas in my lap
ran my fingers across the whole world
and whispered,
"where does it hurt?"
it answered,
"everywhere"
"everywhere"
"everywhere"
