Do you hear that? The sea is calling. In the Caribbean, there are small mountain ranges in several of the islands including Haiti, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, Cuba and Trinidad. I have no idea why it surprised me to see such elevation on the islands, but, I was a kid the first time I went and I thought islands were all sand and beaches. In all of the Caribbean, the highest peak is Pico Duarte, on the Dominican Republic side of Hispaniola.
