For a couple of pastel-y pink weeks the almond trees bloom in the Central Valley of California. A lot of people mistake them for cherry blossoms, but actually we're growing a whole lot of nuts! The blooms completely change the landscape, everything looks like it's dusted in snow. The air smells sweet and there's the quiet constant hum of pollinating bees. It's a good two weeks.
