Monochrome Monday

California market squid (Loligo opalescens) gather to spawn on the sandy bottoms off the Southern California coast, and with them comes the squid fleet, with boats from as far away as Alaska. These boats will head back out from the Ventura Harbor at dusk and spend the night hauling in squid for your dinner plate.
