Up north an old familiar art object suddenly struck me as looking extra, extra colorful. I thought maybe someone had painted it a new color but perhaps it was just the effect of having some unusual weather recently and a certain lack of dreariness.
I had to try it in black and white to see if it would look a bit more normal. It actually looks much better in black and white film emulation in my opinion. I like the way the trees, shadows and lines on the bricks look.
Here’s a color version for comparison. I like the look here too but it looks a lot more different than usual because of the weather and photo processing. I’m not sure who the artist was on the sculpture, maybe next time I’m up that way I will remember to find out.
This nearby sign just made me laugh - I just love the graphics. I had to take a picture of it.
Someone’s picking on the dogs pooping for some reason. If you ask me, the humans are a much bigger problem, especially in some the larger cities farther south. I almost stepped on a huge pile in the middle of the sidewalk once and it wasn’t from a dog.
Anyhow, we certainly wouldn’t want any lawless dogs doing their business here, LOL.
It kind of reminds me of this song for some reason:

Special thanks to for hosting monochromemonday.
Processing for the photos was done using GIMP the free software photo editing application.
