A splash of Independence Day!

We visited Bali when it was the Indonesian Independence Day which made it quite cheery travelling the roads as they were decked out with flags large and small, and as well as lots of the distinctive traditional 'penjor', which is a tall curved bamboo pole decorated with coconut leaves
There is nothing more distinctly Balinese than views of the graceful penjor waving in the air...

I thought a colorsplash of this shot would be striking with the flags and penjor silhouetted against that over-cast cloudy sky...
