I don't usually do architecture, perhaps because I feel I am pretty poor at shooting buildings and structures. But having lived in Lincoln for most of my life, I, like probably every single resident of the city has images of our cathedral somewhere on their hard drives.
It was once the tallest building in the world for a brief time, but more than that it appears to have achieved an amount of fame because it houses the Lincoln Imp. Its a popular attraction in the cathedral (as well as being the nickname of the local football team Lincoln City aka The IMPS).
If you visit the cathedral you will know where to look as there are generally a number of people around, looking up and pointing. But there are other things to see if you don't look up.
So there you are a (very) brief look round Lincoln Cathedral. It makes my head reel to consider that this was built over 900 years ago.
