The West Caucasian tur is a mountain-dwelling goat-antelope found only in the western half of the Caucasus Mountains range, although I found this one at the Toronto Zoo. They can negotiate dangerous terrain with ease and will rest on steep slopes their hindquarters similar to a dog. They have now become an endangered species. Snow avalanches cause most natural deaths to the western tur, combined with the impacts of severe winters.
I took this with an old Canon Powershot 6 MP camera dug out from the closet out of curiosity. I think it aged well.
