Eames Chair • Monomad Textures Entries 1-3
The first photograph is a vintage Eames fiberglass shell chair and the color is elephant skin. The fiberglass creates a visual texture because the fiberglass hairs below the "glassy" surface pickup light in a swirl of texture. The chair itself is smooth to the touch.
Entry 1
The second photograph is a closeup of the leather of a black handbag. The high quality leather has a beautifully textured surface but is very supple and soft to the touch.
Entry 2
The third photograph is an ebony cutting board from Africa. The texture here is twofold. The natural texture of the worn woodgrain and the texture of use from cutting. The wood is still fairly smooth to the touch.
