What happens in the Catalina Mountains?
We've all seen rain falling from the sky, but not like this!
In Tucson, Arizona, our weather is almost always hot and sunny, but July through September, life is different. Almost everyday, we have cloudy skies.
The best days can be the darkest!
We look forward to seeing the dark clouds filled with moisture blowing from South to North across the Catalina Mountains. When the clouds appear, it means the Monsoons are coming. Each storm is different.
The heavens open and the water pours out of the clouds, from each cloud on its own target area.
It's exciting to see!
This is my first in a series of photos and information on Southern Arizona Monsoons.
Stay tuned.
