Did you know that this beautiful flower, African violet, is not actually a violet! Its name was given by the German baron Walter von Saint Paul-Illaire who is credited to discover this plant.
Originating from the high mountains of Tanzania, these amazing flowers do well in all kind of conditions. A sad thing though: they are merely extinct in wilderness.
I'm wondering if it's possible to grow them in the garden, not just in pots. Should I conduct a little experiment? 🤔
