Ait Ben Haddou
-> if come from Marrakesh or Merzouga the public transport stops in Ouarzazate and it’s round about 30 km from Ait Ben Hadou. From Ouarzazate you can take easily a taxi for 100 Dh (10 €) to reach Ait Ben Haddou. If you came with a mini van it stops in Tabouraht only 9 km far from Ait Ben Hadou (unesco world heritage site) it’s between 60 - 35 Dh (6 - 4 €) for the Transport.
When you reached the place they try to take money from you for crossing the bridge or if you want to enter to the Old Kashba from other gates. I sadly forget my money in the hotel 😉😉 so i was also not able to buy tipical Moroccan carpets neither ancient knives!!

This ancient Kashba is beautiful because of it’s unique architecture, its location, it’s nature like rivers, graders and mountains around it. Movie directors course the place for movies like Gladiator, Asterix, Babel and Game of Thrones because of it’s unique artistic beauty.
A place to sleep you can find in one of the Hotels around the place. Some of them are well decorated but also expensive. I found a place where you can have for reasonable cost of benefit a standing view, a good room with shower, internet and breakfast for 100 Dh (10 €) per in Auberge Café Restaurant Tamlalte.

He helped me a lot and finally he was able to arrange me a room for two for 150 Dh (15 €) per night with breakfast close to the center. For my style still to expensive but good for now everything is ok.🙂👌
If you like to stay inside of the Old Kashba there is a Hotel! They is solar energy and batteries 🔋 for keeping the energy for the night. WiFi with 4g and you get hot water. Dar El Haja is one of very good places to stay in Ait Ben Haddou. For a night with breakfast it’s 600 Dh (60 €) for two persons and if you contact my friend Rachid by WhatsApp directly he will go for two also a amazing Moroccan dinner, all in all you pay than only 700 Dh (70 €) for breakfast, room and dinner. I was amazed when I got to know that one of my favourite movies where shoot here too. Kingdom of Haven!!
In Rachid’s place have also a natural cave which is preferred to practice yoga and mantras!
