This photo was shot and the photographer went into depression after taking this. There were some leopards chasing a mother deer and her two kids. The mother could have easily outrun the 2 kids but then she slowed down so that the kids can run away and the leopards get to her and stop the chase. This is the look of the mother checking whether the two kids are running to safely or not just before getting killed.

At times in life you end up doing certain things which people will call stupidity but then it was brave emotions driving you to take that decision and these decisions are never stupid.
