In making goals achievable, you must put into practice what I call, the "Smart protocols of getting a win." Being SMART is one way that will help you specify and evaluate your goals in life. It is a 5 lettered word that has so much depth.
You can in many ways work through understanding it, in your own language.
The SMART method is an approach to goal setting which helps you refine your goals by assessing whether they are:-
Specific:- Your goals must be clearly defined and identified. Anyone seeking to achieve their goals must have them clearly defined and identified so that they are able to get the right direction to push through with. If it isn't defined, it cannot be identified.
Measurable:- Your goals should be measurable for it to be achievable. Being able to measure your set goal will help you chart your way through the supposed difficulties that may arise. You will be able to, through this method, know the depth, length or width and breadth.
Achievable:- You should know if your goals are able to be brought about or reached successfully. Many people just make plans with no understanding if they are achievable.
Know what the goals are and how best to attain it.Relevant:- Are your goals appropriate? You must know that, your goals are in the state of being closely connected or appropriate. Without relevance, you will not be able to make a headway in whatever you set out to achieve.
Time-bounded:- Your goals must be timed to prime. Timing is the most important aspect of achieving your goals. If you get out to do something without placing a time factor to it, it will be useless at the end of the day because, you will not be achieving anything.
There you have it, use SMART to achieve that goal and you will stay happy and SMART.
