Hey All,
The other day, I was listening to Osho who was a renowned Indian spiritual teacher and philosopher known for his deep insights on life, mindfulness, and human consciousness. In one of his talks, he shared a powerful story about the importance of going slow and to be honest it really touched me and I thought that I will share the same story here on #HIVE on my own words. Not a bad idea right? Simply ask this question to yourself are you rushing all the time and if yes then this story is for you.
Go SLOW - What is the Hurry? Stop Rushing Your Life...
I’m sure we’ve all come across people who seem slow at work, always dealing with things at their own pace but sometimes, that slowness hides a deeper wisdom. And this story from Osho is all about the same. So here we go with the story Go SLOW....
Once upon a time, there were two people who were lost and trying to find their way to a destination. They both had to reach the same place, so they walked together, talking and passing time.
After walking for a while, they got confused and didn’t know which way to go. So, they asked a stranger for help. The stranger explained the path clearly and guided them. But most importantly, he told them to - GO SLOW... Do not rush, or you may hurt yourself.
One of them did not agree. He said, Why should we go slow? We have to reach quickly. Someone is waiting for us. Even after all of the argument, the stranger still insited to - GO SLOW...
Both of them thanked him and continued their journey. After some time, one person followed the advice and walked slowly and carefully. But the other person rushed ahead, trying to reach fast. As the first person walked slowly, he noticed someone sitting on the side of the road. When he got closer, he saw it was his colleague. His leg was hurt, and he was in pain, asking for help.
The first person quickly went to him and helped him sit properly and provided all the necessary aid. Then he said, remember that I told you, we should have listened to the stranger. Going slow was the right way. His friend felt sorry and realized his mistake. At times it is imperative not to RUSH things in life. We need to take it easy, think over and should GO SLOW in doing things as this willshow us the right path and help us avoid mistakes. The same applies to this story the person rushing got into trouble and where as the other person who was slow and conscious was able to make it. We can apply the same principle in our daily lives to make things better for ourselves.. Do you guys agree with me here? In a nutshell there is no need to rush in life. Going slow and steady keeps you safe and helps you reach your goal with ease and comfort. Well this his should be it for todays post on - "Motivational Story on #HIVE - Go SLOW - What’s the Hurry? Stop Rushing Your Life..." Be inspired & Motivated.. Happy Reading... Cheers..
