Hello Everyone!!! I hope you are having a great time over there? It's really nice to see you visit my blog today and I must say I'm really happy to have a great personality like you visiting my blog today π. Thank you once again π
As you all know today is another lovely morning and I'm quite sure everyone of you know what I do on a daily day like this. This is actually a part of the week I post motivational content just to brighten your day for the week and I hope you'll definitely feel motivated after reading this.
What Could be Happening?
Have you ever been in a situation whereby you decide to take an action or set up a specific goal that will change your life. But at the same time you end up being stocked up with a lot of thoughts and imagination which refrains or obstruct you from starting or taking the necessary actions to achieve such goals.
As a content writer, one of my major challenges is that I sometimes lack the vibe to create content or write articles most especially when I am not in a good mood or probably I had a very stressful day. The vibe or motivation to create content during those period or moment becomes very difficult for me to achieve sometimes. There are also some other time i feel very active such that I don't mind publishing more than 2 contents in a day. The question still remains what could be happening?π€
The same applies to some people who may be highly consistent with their jobs or profession and it just got to a point whereby they start to feel reluctant doing their daily routines or action such that the one whom is known for coming to work very early everyday now starts coming late to work and sometimes comes to work once in a while. The same question stills boils down to What could be happening? π€
I've personally gave this question a very deep thought and I was also able to seek for the opinions of some reputable scholars and knowledgeable colleagues to shed more light on their view to this particular question. I got impressive answers which can change anyone's life most especially if you're the type of person who gives up so easily on your goals. These answers will definitely make you have a rethink on how you can deal with such circumstances. I suggest you grab some delicious pop corn and coffee as you read through this post to digest the content π.
The Perfect Answers
These are some of the below reasons some people loose their motivation or level of consistency when it comes to achieving their goals.
#1 LEISURE/FALLOW PERIOD
One of the reasons you sometimes feel like you are loosing motivation may sometimes be as a result of excessive stress and there is this point in our life we need to rest or relax ourselves to be more productive.
The fact is that we sometimes need rest after going through that excess phase or stage of stress in achieving our goals. There's this period known as fallow period for content writers in which content writers undergo resting period after going through the stress of writing for specific period of time. This is also one of the reasons most companies and business organisations including government institutions do give out holidays (public holidays) for their workers to rest themselves.
In summary, you aren't sometimes loosing motivation or your level of consistency, you may just need to undergo that fallow period or resting period to put yourself in place before coming back with to achieve your goals.
#2 DEPRESSION
Another major reason people sometimes loose motivation is as a result of depression. According to Stephanie Kirby, she stated that "When youβre struggling with depression, it can be difficult to get through the normal tasks of daily life. That means itβs a struggle to clean the house, or pay the bills because you donβt care".
There are certain things that can lead to depression such as loosing loved ones, being heartbroken, mental health issue and so many other reasons. These set of unfavourable experience tends to affect your daily activities or routines because it becomes very difficult for your mind and brain to flow along with you do which makes you lack focus on your consistent effort.
In this type of situation, i suggest you take your time to sort out yourself before delving on that consistent task. There's nothing wrong in loosing motivation when you are depressed but it's best to grow more stronger by recovering from your depressed state and get back to work even though this may take a lot of time to achieve depending on the level of the depression.
In summary, depression is a killer of joy and it's really very difficult to perform your daily tasks whenever you are depressed. It's best you sort out yourself by getting out of your depressed state before you can get back on track.
#3 YOUR SURROUNDINGS/ENVIRONMENT
Another important reasons we tend to loose motivation is as a result of the type of environment we found ourselves and the type of people we surround ourselves with. Shiv Khera once stated in one of his books that "environment, peer pressure and family tend to have great impact on the life of humans". This is why it's very important to be a supportive environment or surroundings when it comes to achieving your goals and the lack of supportive environment can also cause you to loose motivation.
This is also something I've experienced personally. I could remember trying to learn some programming languages back then in school. The truth is that I was able to learn little syntax and coding styles when I was in my school environment probably because that what I engaged myself mostly in with my friends back then in school. You won't believe i forgot everything after i graduated from school just because I left the school environment and I couldn't get in contact with my friends. The type of environment I live in aren't in support of technological advancement probably because the environment isn't really that exposed when compared to some other standard environment.
In summary, it's advisable to be surrounded with people who keep you motivated to achieve your goals. Your friends and environment may influence your thinking ability and lifestyle as this tends to affect your level of motivation and consistency towards achieving your goals.
#4 YOU WANT TO DO EVERYTHING AT ONCE
The last but not the least reason some people loose motivation is because they just want to do everything at once. Yes! There are some goals meant to be achieved for longer period of time but one of the greatest mistake you are making is that you always think you can achieve complex multiple goals at a single time and this makes you become more overwhelmed towards achieving such goals.
It's advisable you take those goals one step at a time. Always ensure you develop a plan to simplify your goals as this will make it more easier for you to achieve such goals.
#5 YOUR OPINION
As you all know me to be a voracious learner, I would also love to seek your opinion or view on the discussion at hand which has to do with the things that make people loose motivation towards achieving their goals. I'll be expecting your feedback or opinion(s) on the comment section of this post.
Thank You for your time and I hope you have a great day ahead with love from
