Seriously, it's not a bad thing to be an Oliver twist.
After all he wasn't being avaricious, he was just hungry๐.
I came across a quote this morning and it really stirred up some residual thoughts.
This was the quote.๐๐
Yes, honestly I don't like that quote๐
I also don't like that quote that people tend to quote when you want something more than you already have, the one they say;
"While you're busy crying you don't have shoes, someone is crying they don't have legs. So be grateful with what you have."
Or when they say that the person with no legs is more content than you with legs but want shoes๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐
IT'S JUST ANNOYING
I mean, c'mon, should I be satisfied with a 'C' because others got an 'F'?
You wouldn't say I was complaining or jealous of other people's stuff, you'd tell me to work harder right?
Then why is it a different response when it comes to life?
I mean what kind of psychology is that?๐คท๐คท๐คท
Should you be grateful that your situation is worse or that it'd get better?
Should you be happy that someone's worse off than you?
I mean why should your happiness or joy or GRATITUDE come from another person's suffering, from the idea that another person is suffering more than you are?๐คท๐คท๐คท
I MEAN WHAT'S UP WITH PEOPLE?
Honestly people, I like good things and yes I'm an Oliver Twist for the blessings 's quote.
So this is my take on the matter and I've summed it up to one quote๐ค
THE FACT THAT SOMEONE ELSE HAS IT WORSE DOESN'T MEAN I SHOULDN'T WANT BETTER๐ค
So don't be afraid of what people say when you're going for more, be content with who you are now and what you have now, go for what you want the right way, don't desire to be like someone else or covert and be jealous of what someone else has, just work to get yours.
THANK YOU FOR LETTING ME VENT
