Hello everyone, I'm back again with another food for thought for you all. Today, I will be talking to us about seeds.
Of course we all know what seeds are, but I want us to see seeds from a whole new perspective. Seeds are gotten from fruits, fruits are gotten from trees and trees germinated from seeds because they were planted on the right ground.
This is applicable in our day to day lives as it can affect our present and our future. What do I mean?
You see, presently, we are products of the seeds (actions) that were sown yesterday (in the past), how we reacted to situations, how we talked, how we related to others, etc. That is also how the actions we take now whether it is known or not, will affect our future.
There are different ways to sow the right seeds in our lives but I'll just make mention of 2
• SOWING THE RIGHT SEEDS FOR OUR HEALTH.
Whether we like it or not, what we eat, or what we don't eat affects us. It is better to go for natural foods like rice, yams, potatoes, beans, etc, and fruits like mangoes, watermelon, soursop, gardeneggs, etc, than to eat processed food (biscuits, soda, etc). What we eat is very important because it is not when we are young that the effects of eating wrong foods show up, but rather, it shows up when we are advancing in age, this is a typical example of seed sowing because you cannot plant a seed now and harvest it immediately.
• SOWING THE RIGHT SEEDS IN OUR RELATIONSHIPS.
The way we interact with people matters a lot. Relationships, no matter the type can be hard to build but can be very easy to destroy. Take for example, Mr A and Mr B have been friends for a very long time and they have been going along just fine, then one day they had a misunderstanding which led to a quarrel that later turned into a fight, and it the process, Mr B insulted and beat up Mr A so badly that Mr A was in tears.. Guess what, the relationship is broken, Words matter a lot, The "I'm sorry" that you tell someone can save the relationship. Words cannot be retrieved once spoken so we should learn to speak right at all times, and we must learn to use the words "I am sorry" no matter whether you're right or wrong as it can calm the nerves of the other person.
With that being said I'd like to finalize by saying that the seeds we sow now will affect our future, therefore let us endeavor to sow the right seeds and do the right things at all times.
