This life is very funny and most times not fair. We don't always have what we want at the right time. Yes that may be true, but most times life is preparing us for the greater good.
There are times we need to wait for our goals to be achieved, our aspirations come alive.
I consider those times 'the polishing period'
Have you seen a raw lump of gold before? You might not appreciate it until finally refined. What of diamond or other jewelries we use? They all pass through a process, in fact very high temperature at times. Gold melts at 1,0640°C
The processes of getting refined diamonds are two one is High Pressure High Temperature, it is a process where a natural or industrial diamond called 'seed crystal' is placed inside a high pressure high temperature machine and fed by carbon, with time diamond will start to form as layers over the seed, but it really takes time, it grows by fractions of a micron per hour, takes weeks and months to grow a diamond.
Another is Chemical Vapor Deposition, where scientists create a carbon plasma cloud using an agent element (usually hydrogen), then strike it with laser under silicon 'wafers' where the carbon would depose forming layers of diamond. This also takes time.
After all these processes have taken place, polishing starts and that's what reveal the beauty of these gems.
Most of us might find these raw gems ugly until finally polished, that's where I'm going.
We all have hiden treasures and gems in us but we must be polished to showcase our beauty. This life is a process and until we've been certified to have passed through fire and refined, then polished, our goals might seem far fetched.
What are these processes I've been talking about? You can just refer to them as either challenges, trials, tribulations, experiences, problems or any other names you know them to be.
They are meant to mould, refine and polish you. This is the time to snap out of that depression, hopelessness and embrace hope.
What doesn't kill you should make you stronger
I could remember some years back, my salary was very fat and didn't have any business or investment idea. Give me that opportunity today and I'll use it better. I'm not regretting just saying that life was testing me and unfortunately I was not ready.
We need to be polished in order for that goal to be achieved and enjoyed for a longer time.
Do not give up, all the experiences you've gathered over time are to make you stronger and polished. Those that give up have not allowed life to refine and polish them and might not reach their height of greatness.
