Appreciation is like a fuel. It drives a person towards achieving more.
There are many ways to appreciate a person.
It does not have to be financially or materially related.
It could just be a verbal communication, a nod of acceptance, a clap of acknowledgement or pat in the back of affirmation. Just something to let the people know they are useful, appreciated, loved and welcome on the team.
This will do a lot in driving the people to do more.
You don't drive people to do more by enforcing or compelling them to do a thing but by appreciating them for the one they've done.
Appreciate their abilities, their intellect, their results generated. Let them know how much their accomplishments mean to the team.
