Two days ago, I watched a particularly thrilling match between Manchester United and Villarreal where the match was 1:1 till the elapsing of 90 minutes. At this point, everyone had given up hopes on any other goal coming in. Then, injury time was given and in the final seconds of the injury time, something spectacular happened - Cristiano Ronaldo netted in the long-desired goal to give Manchester United the maximum points of the match just before the final whistle. Looking at this from the life's point of view, it taught me that no matter how bad a situation may look like, there is still a possibility of something great happening because it is never over until we have decided that it is over.

The challenges that come to you may be fierce but it should not cause you to give up on life because you can still overcome them. Just like the football match I referenced, they never gave up hope and they kept pushing through even when time seemed not to be in their favour and at last, their desires came through. If they had given up in the injury time, they would have lost the chance to celebrate something beautiful. Similarly, the point you feel like giving up is the point you actually need to put in your best because you may be just moments away from your major breakthrough.
The prize only goes to the person that has determined to pay the price at all cost. The price for greatness is not cheap because you have a much bigger thing at stake. The more the prize at stake increases, the bigger the price you need to pay and the bigger the responsibility on your shoulders. You will agree with me that when you wanted to leave nursery school to primary, the entrance examination was like a walkover. When you wanted to leave primary school to secondary school, the difficulty level increased a bit. Then when you wanted to leave secondary school to college, the difficulty level increased even further. This is because you have a bigger prize in view and and such, you have a bigger price to pay.
Those that make it in life are those that are determined to make it by fulfilling the requirements of success. Whatever you want to achieve, there is always a requirement you have to fulfill, a price you have to pay, the terms and conditions you have to respect. When you default in one, it may affect many others, so you should not take the issues of life with careless approach. The truth is, more often than not, it is the rules that people break that break them off the pathway of success.
You have to understand that not everything can be done your way. Imagine in a football match and a player decides to use his hand to punch in the ball inside the net. Not only will the goal be disallowed, he may be penalized for it. Similarly, when you break certain rules of life, you cannot escape the consequences. This is why, when people tend to follow unwholesome shortcuts to arrive at success, the consequences will still wait for them sooner or later because every action that anyone does is not without effects.
Things may not be moving according to how you have imagined or planned, but it should not dampen your zeal to keep going and to keep giving life another shot on target. It is natural that the more you try, the more you increase your chances of hitting the mark and the more success is in view. It is worthy to note that success, or any other good thing, is not delivered by luck or by wish, there is a need to put in work towards it. Until you are willing to work out your success, it may not be in view.

Winners are not those that have never experienced challenges nor those that have never felt like to quit, but those that refused to quit even when everything around them is suggesting for them to quit. As long as you are not ready to quit, then you still have a fair chance of succeeding and it is never over for you until success comes.
