In all fairness to life, there is one thing that everyone - the rich, the poor, the old, the young, every race, has in equal proportion: that is "time". Time is gifted by nature to everyone but what you do with your time and how you make opportunities out of it is your own gift back to nature. It is worthy to note that time is constantly going and will not wait for you, same with opportunities, so you are the one that should get yourself ready to take advantage of them.

The truth is, the time that you waste on procrastinating your actions is long gone and may not be gotten back. In the same way, the opportunities you allow to slip off are gone. However, why most people do not take advantage of opportunities as they come is because they do not always come as opportunities but they may carry the facade of challenges. You should be able to separate the opportunities in the challenges.
While most people are seeing problems in challenges, you should see the solutions in the problems which are the opportunities there. Believe me, there is no challenge that arises that is not an opportunity for someone else to make something great out of it. It will be immature to wish for challenges not to come. One of the signs of maturity is your willingness and eagerness to take on challenges and convert them to opportunities. So instead of wishing for challenges not to come, you should build up yourself to welcome them.
If there is an absence of challenges, there will also be an absence of opportunities. You will agree with me that most of the successful people are those that moved to provide solutions to the problems that are facing people, which is taking advantage of challenges and turning them into opportunities. Take this instance: In the recent past, people were faced with the problems relating to effective communication.
While everyone saw it as a problem, a particular man; Mark Zuckerberg; saw the potential solution in it and grabbed the opportunity to proffer the solution. He then put actions towards it and he created the Facebook to bring solution to the problems of communication, and it ultimately heralded a new wave of social media, which in turn made him successful. You see, to be successful, you only need to focus on creating and proffering solution to the problems of people. Even when opportunities seem to be unforthcoming, it is your duty to create them from the challenges that are present.

I remember when I was growing up, in the neighbourhood, there was a challenge of power. When everyone was complaining about the irregular power supply, a man bought a small power generator and built a charging port where the locals would come and pay to charge their devices. You see, while everyone saw a problem, he cashed in on it to create wealth. This is just to tell you that there is opportunity flying around you everyday and the onus is laid on you to grab them and utilise them for your profiting.
