Finally some positive news from the Yamaha camp! Monster Energy Yamaha Factory Racing have had a rough season with Injurys which started with losing the newly signed Davi Milsaps before the season even started.

This led them to draft in Justin Barcia who hit the floor running with the Factory team and put himself into a title contending position with arguably the best start to a Supercross season for many years. He was in blistering form when he came up short on a triple and was landed on which saw him withdraw from the race with a broken hand. He has set his sights on a return for the Seattle Supercross but has started the recovery process/

"This is my first week back on my Yamaha and things are progressing well for me. My hand is pretty weak and sore, but I am just happy to be back on the bike and rebuilding the strength in my hand. I cannot wait to be back at the races!" Second was the position that he occupied in the series standings when he bowed out and, for that reason, most will expect him to contend for victories towards the end of the current campaign.

Cooper Webb unfortunately suffered a setback during practice in St. Louis which saw him drop out of the nights racing with a shoulder injury. It has been an up and down season for Webb so far which seems to also sum up his time in the premier 450 class as well. He should be back this weekend for the Indianapolis Supercross but he really needs to break the cycle and recover the form he had in the 250 class.

"I'm doing all I can to be ready for Indianapolis. Unfortunately, I had a crash right before St. Louis which injured my shoulder a little bit. I tried riding this past weekend but it was a bit weak and we decided not to risk any further damage. I've been going to PT this week and keeping up my cardio on the bicycle to stay ready. I hope to see everyone this weekend in Indy."

Webb currently sits eighth in the Supercross 450 standings so a quick return should help him recover but Barcia has dropped to eleventh. This is a blow for the Yamaha rider as he was sitting in second earlier before the injury. Either way it is great news to see them returning to riding and hopefully Yamahas dark cloud will move on now and leave them for the rest of the season.
