Yoshimura Research and Development of America have released a video and statement from Justin Barcia that he will compete the Monster Energy Cup and Potentially Supercross as a privateer.
It's been a rough few years for BamBam but as we have learned with all racers, these guys do not take anything lying down! Barcia lost his Factory Suzuki ride at the end of the season and also had a rough end to the outdoors with a few nasty injuries which left him without any offers on the table going forward.
So what does a rider do when he is in this situation? Well he dusts himself off, picks up the phone and calls the companies he wants to work for and pretty much chose his own sponsors! He is rolling the dice on the fact he can still compete at this level and win things and you can't diss a guy for having the courage and drive to do so!
BamBam had his best and most successful years aboard a Honda and he is now back riding red. Yoshimura have kitted him out with some great factory parts and it seems the rider is back smiling and in a good place.
it's always been fun to watch Barcia race and one thing is for sure... He will be in the mix come race day! He earned the name BamBam for a reason... lets hope he keeps it clean ;)
