So it seems Factory yamaha can't catch a break lately... no pun intended...
Davi Millsaps, while out testing on his new 2018 Yamaha YZF 450F at a track in Corona California last Friday had some trouble and fell onto his left elbow. He was rushed to hospital straight away and was kept in for observation across the weekend.
It has since been confirmed after a complete medical evaluation that Davi will have to undergo surgery for a fractured elbow. This is a massive blow for Davi and the Monster Energy/Yamalube/Chaparral/Yamaha Financial Services/Yamaha Factory Racing team. the Monster Energy Cup is this weekend and now they have NO riders to compete at the event with Webb already sidelined.

"I feel really bad for Davi and the entire team. He's been doing a lot of training on his 2018 YZ450F, and things have been going well. He and the team were making excellent progress, and they were looking forward to this weekend's Monster Energy Cup where Davi was scheduled to make his debut with our Yamaha Factory team. We're confident that Davi will be able to make a speedy recovery and return to racing soon."
I'm gutted for him as he was looking pumped to represent his new team aboard the new 2018 YZF 450R this weekend... Heal up mate and come back stronger!
Tough times for Yamaha...
