Lovely day today, managed to wash 13 bikes, and my little rd 50 turned up via courier just.
Managed to also start putting the Kawasaki ke 125 engine back together for the first time in decades. A tip for fitting pistons in a 2 stroke, oil the bore, and fit the piston first by squeezing the rings together at the locating pin points, insert it into the barrel, then attach to conrod, it makes life so much easier than trying to bring the barrel down onto a piston attached to a conrod first.
A second tip is fit one circlip in the piston to hold the gudgeon pin, before fitting, as you only need to push through from one side, and it saves the chance of disaster if you drop 1 in the crank, then fill crank with a cloth before fitting the second one.
So after putting that back together I realised I have no stud bolts for it, so I now have to order them tonight.
A trio of lc's were washed, and the little rd 50 m.
2 lc's started first kick, one refused full stop, so that is my to do tomorrow.
In ye old farm house - the spare one, I did a little to the Montesa, but as I am still waiting for parts from Spain that I ordered 2 months ago, yes you read that right, 2 months, there is little else I can do to it.
