Private Museum Visit: Triumph Bonneville
I have been writing a number of posts on my visit to the motor museum, yesterday, I wrote about a very unique Scott 600cc motorcycle, you can click on the link if did not read about it. Today I am posting about one of the most iconic British motorcycles - the Truimph Bonneville. The example they have in this museum, is in pristine condition - when last did you see a clean and shinny engine, like the on on this bike, you can really eat from it, although I think the owner would not like it when you do eat from it!!
The Bonneville is named after the salt flats in the USA, where Triumph attempted and succeeded in breaking various motorcycle land speed records. The article Motorcyle land speed record makes quite interesting reading!!
Below you can see the bike's carburetor up close, just look at how shinny it is and the beautiful brass air intake!!
I really enjoyed all the beautiful vehicle that this museum had on display!!
I hope you enjoyed the post as much as I enjoyed writing it.
The photos, were taken by me, with my iPhone, at the Checkered Club in Benoni, South Africa.
