Our journey through South Dakota reached its conclusion at the final destination, Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.
I had three primary focuses for this gathering, and motorcycles are the obvious one.
I had three primary focuses for this gathering, and motorcycles are the obvious one.
For Bike lovers like my husband, this place was a dream come true!
There were so many custom made machines, or at the very least custom paint jobs.
Even for those who aren't necessarily enthusiasts, like myself, they were awesome to see.
Besides the Bikes, I've heard a great deal about the booths set up every year.
There is a definite "red" theme to many of them, and also a bit of a raunchy one, haha.
Down at the bottom you'll see some of that, and I honestly debated whether to post a couple of the photos as they are somewhat jarring
But ultimately it is a part of the culture, particularly for those in motorcycle clubs.
So I said there were three main focuses, the last is going to be a separate post for two reasons-
Obviously this one is already chock full of photos, so it would really be too much to do in one shot.
But when I was going through all of the pictures and separated them out, the ones where the people of Sturgis were the main focus looked super cool without the distraction of everything else.
Something to do with the action in them I think. It's not something I've thought of documenting before, but now that I have I'd definitely do it again.
Especially at a rally or concert, or some kind of function that attracts such an extreme variety of people.
I think the people focused post will also make an excellent and unique Wednesday Walk, so that is on deck for tomorrow.
Thanks for hanging out with me today!
