My friend 
My first car was a Fiat 650. I was living in German in the late 80s and needed transport. I bought it from my landlady for not much money. It eventually blew a gasket and wasn't worth fixing. It was fun to drive and easy to park.
The Fiat was replaced by a 1970s Golf. Probably a 1.3. Basic, but a bit more of a real car for me. Can't find a picture of that.
When I moved in with my partner she has a red 1.0 Vauxhall Nova, known affectionately as Putput. That did us well for a while.
Next was yet another red car. A 1.4 Fiat Tipo. Very basic thing. That was passed on to the father in law.
Some of these will have been owned concurrently as we tended to have two cars. Next was a blue Rover 216SLi automatic. A very smooth ride with a Honda engine. The Rover was traded in using the government 'scrappage' deal to get a discount on my current Hyundai i10. That's been a great little car. Nippy enough and very reliable.
Before that we had a Vauxhall Zafira diesel. That was a really practical family car with seven seats and loads of luggage space, but not both at the same time. The fuel pump failed eventually and was ridiculously expensive to replace. For a while we had an old Ford Ka to replace it until we bought an equally old Honda CRV. That is a good car, but a bit thirsty.
Finally I'll mention our camper. This was bought from a friend who was moving abroad. We've used it a few times, but it needs some work.
I make that ten in all over about 30 years. I've also owned four motorbikes, but don't have one any more.
You'll nothing there's nothing sporty there. I'm not really interested in driving for it's own sake. Our cars have been chosen for utility and economy. The bikes gave more more than enough thrills.
