Welcome to #mountainmonday, hosted by me, !
This is your invitation to share anything you like about mountains - a story, a photo, a joke - whatever you have. Tag your post #mountainmonday and drop me a link in the comments below and I will do my best to upvote and resteem your post.
Today I have a few photos to share from one of my trips down the Icefields Parkway in Alberta, Canada.
One of the most amazing sights is the emerald coloured water in the lakes and rivers - the result of minerals in the glacial runoff water.
Above: Peyto Lake, is one of the most famous scenes in the Canadian Rockies. I took this shot at 9:20 AM. I would recommend getting there earlier to avoid crowds and get better light. I'm not complaining about the light I had here you understand... but imagine how it might look at sunset, or at dawn.
Leaving Banff at 6:00 AM. This was the day we had to leave Alberta and head back home to British Columbia. We have lots of mountains here in BC - I'll be sure to share some more next week.
Have something of your own to share? Make sure to leave me a link to your post! Have a great Monday, my friends!
