Along the Ohio River there is West Virginia, With the most beautiful mountains you can look at forever and still be amazed. Sometimes you would wonder why would a person love the mountains ? I've lived in West Virginia most of my life , When you go high in the mountains the tress are so surreal.

The fresh air you breath in, listening to all the animals noises & birds chirping makes everything so great. I have walked many trails in these mountains and let me tell you it's scary sometimes. But there's nothing better then human nature at it's finest. If you ever want to take a vacation somewhere you've never been , think about West Virginia , Almost Heaven West Virginia
I'm adding a recent visit I made to Carter Caves Kentucky , about a hour away from home , My family and I wanted to try something different one weekend and thought , maybe the caves would be nice. You have to walk a half of a mile to get to the first cave , Gosh the 1st cave , we started going through it , goodness the water was so cold , but very hot outside ! We continued down the path in the cave then all of the sudden I stepped where I guess I shouldn't have, it looked dry , but boy it wasn't , I sank like it was quick sand , it was mud , I literally thought I wasn't going to make it out alive ! lol ... But even though it took 15 minutes of my husband tugging and pulling me although I got out of it !!! Whew , that was scary. The second time we went through , we knew exactly where to step. But the cave itself was beautiful , it looked so old , but so interesting that it was hundreds of years old.

So we moved on to the next cave, which I loved , and will go back again one day. It had so many different patterns in the rock , it went from being very wide , to very closed in to get through and sometimes the water got knee deep , but it was just great. some place had writing on the walls that looked very old. it was amazing. It makes you wonder how a cave like this was formed, I still question it, because I know it can't be man made there no way.
We had a great day the 2nd time around and will be going back in the future. I highly suggest everyone go on the self guided cave tours !
