We took a drive after work and the mountains were quite beautiful!
From the St Ignatius Overlook-
Looking the other direction, towards the National Bison Range-
A glimpse of the Mission Mountains, reflected in a roadside lake-
A view across Flathead Lake to Chief Cliff outside of Elmo, Mt. Native stories tell of an old Kootenai Chief who rode his horse off the top of the cliff and died because he felt that the younger members of the tribe were ignoring their elders. He was trying to make the tribe remember that elders have value and wisdom too.
And a random bit of whimsy- a plastic teddy bear thing I spotted in the overlook parking lot.
