Movie challenge: Idiocracy

I was nominated by Hive account@vikisecrets to participate in a new movie challenge on Hive by Hive account@zuerich. It works like this, everyone who is nominated makes a short post about their favorite movie and nominates 5 more Hivers in the post.

It was not an easy choice to decide between many great movies from different genres. Since we are in some sort of apocalyptic events, my thoughts were going in direction of Sci-fi. At the end, choosing between Blade runner and Idiocracy I have chosen letter one; both are stories about world in the future, but accent in Idiocracy is on evolution and natural selection which I already declared as joker so... :)

The movie is about average person who worked in the army and was selected by the Pentagon to be the guinea pig for a top-secret hibernation program. Instead of being awake very soon, he awakes five centuries in the future. He discovers a society so incredibly stupid that he is the most intelligent person alive and as such, is put on a mission to find some solutions for life threatening problems.

Science fiction or good prediction? ;)
